Well maintained and cool on hot days. Watch for signs to see the covered bridge and stream just off the trail. Plant off stopping points along the trail with picnic tables and benches. We ride this trail 2 to 3 times a week.
The crown jewel of trails in Ashtabula County Ohio!
Love this trail and it is open all year round.
I suggest starting it at the Munson Hill Trailhead or the Austinburg Trailhead. Rent an E-Bike during the summer at On the Lake Electric Bike Company. They drop off the bikes at the trailhead.

I’m from Ohio and the Ohio side is awful- so I’m not knocking OH ¿But overall decent ride and beautiful scenery! The trains are pretty cool too
I liked this trail. A little rough in spots. Had to take it slow. Views made it worth slowing down for.
We live close to this trail, but had not tried walking it in many years! We read the last review and it sounded good so we went a little over halfway and turned around. We started at kids Mill at the covered bridge. We walked to the new hamburg bridge and then returned. The trail is very well maintained…..we were greatly pleased! We met Joe on the trail, he does a lot of maintenance volunteer work and had a great by lot really nice conversation with him. He was busy working on the trail today.
Only 3 stars cause of dog poop on bike tires every time we go. Trail itself probably a 4
My wife and I live in Streetsboro and ride the trail from Peck Road east of Ravenna to Kent and back. Love the entire length of the trail. Unfortunate that about 1/2 mile near Kent is becoming very rough with tree roots pushing up the asphalt. Recently we have seen markings like there are plans to re-do some of the worst sections. We would love to see a better way to transition from the eastern section to the western rather than walking the bikes up stairs and crossing a road.
Don’t bother they’re trimming trees and won’t let you go around them.
Mainly straight, VERY bumpy, pretty scenery. It abruptly ends at a road that is heavily traveled, the traffic is not easily seen! I'll try one more time.
Biked from Foxburg to Parker. This section of the trail is separate from the mainline segment which runs from Franklin to Emlenton. Heading South from Foxburg, it is 2.5 miles on flat pavement, very well shaded and goes to Parker. Not in to Parker though, you have to go up the hill from the parking lot and take the bridge across the Allegheny River to Parker. The bridge over the Clarion River is 1.5 miles South of Foxburg. Also, UNDER DEVELOPMENT and maintained by the ART in Clarion County Chapter, is the section which runs from Foxburg to Emlenton and will be approx 3 miles. Currently it is dirt and grass. The volunteers have been working on building the trail. As of now there is trail access along side of the trucking company. Parking is in Foxburg.
