Decent enough trail.. kinda rough with all the cracks. The name of the trail wasn’t lying, very urban indeed. Not much for views and quite a bit of road crossings. Seemed like a light incline the whole time. Hardly anyone waves or smiles back. In town trail is marked well.
We just rode this trail yesterday. Started at the south section of the Kenosha County trail. The limestone is well maintained and we didn’t see any trash or broken glass as others stated. It’s a great path but we didn’t like the numerous crossings. Folks don’t stop even when you push the yield light button. The north part of the trail goes thru sketching areas but we felt safe. Best part was when you get to the Great Lakes Naval station as the path is paved n beautiful. I doubt we’ll redo this one but do recomend for others who don’t mind the crossings.
Nice trail that is maintained well.
Loved this trail. Finished it on the 28th. Nicely maintained n beautiful scenery. Recommend highly.
We absolutely love this trail. Many areas are shaded. Waukesha section is totally paved. It’s a gem!
Nicely paved short trail that connects to Ozaukee trail. Brown Deer is a great place to park.
We completed this trail and absolutely loved the Lake County side. It’s about 32 miles long and nice, peaceful, ride. Once you enter Cook County, it’s very rough, tough and rocky ride. Extremely uncomfortable ride. Will not do that section again but will do Lake County side.
Was able to get on it from camp at Harrington Beach SP, you can also from Kohler Andrea. All asphalt-Half the trail is back roads. Route follows where an old electric railway use to be so that’s cool but otherwise kinda boring..not much for scenery. Also goes along an active railroad
Lots of shade along the whole trail and the scenery is nice. Also, there's not a lot of people, so it's usually a really peaceful ride.
If you’re looking for a nice quiet ride either segment of the trail is great! The fondy-Rosendale was better than the second half of the trail in my opinion.
We just finished this trail n loved it. Fully paved n easy to ride. There are a couple areas where the signage isn’t good but we were able to find the connection easily. The pin drop to Menomonee Falls sent us to a wrong location. Best that you google map it. Also, park on the street NOT where it takes you to the parking site. It’s private n they will toll you. Enjoy
