Yoholo Micco, The Creek Indian Trail

good exercise!

March, 2021 by 3ff8cfytxu

The hubby and I went here last Saturday and it was so much fun! We didn’t have time to walk the side trails but, we enjoyed it! I’m not in the best shape in the world but, I easily did this. Well, I say easily but, the last hill on the way up was a doozy.

Starts off great!

July, 2017 by nkknox4

The trail is pretty good! The trail starts off great! After you cross the bridge the scenery goes away. It is a great exercise trail! Loved it until crossing bridge and then it turns into just a asphalt walkway in the middle of ??? and a campground at the very end. I will say the views of the lake, the bridge over the lake, the cool old architectural things, the bird scenery, the history and the waterfall make up for the last part of the trail! So yes I would go back!

loved this trail

January, 2017 by knight_kasey

My husband and I walked this trail in January 2017. It was well worth the walk in 30 degree weather. Look for the side trails marked by cute little signs. One took us to a waterfall. The other to a path that looked like it was straight from a fairytale. We will be coming back!

Bridge is re-opened

July, 2015 by amaerin

We visited this trail today but didn't explore the entire length due to rain. Very nice, well-maintained area with great views along the way. The previous reviewer mentioned that the bridge was out; it has been repaired and is now open.

Bridge Closed!

May, 2015 by watizit

I planned to ride this trail May 2, 2015 and found the bridge over the lake closed. The portion of the trail I did get to ride was incredible; it's too bad we couldn't see more. I haven't been able to get an answer on when it will be open again, but I did receive word today (May 27) that it is still closed. I'll hold my rating until I get to ride the whole thing. The city of Eufaula is very beautiful and we spent the day taking pictures there instead. At least the trip wasn't a total wash.

Delightful trail and town visit

November, 2013 by crowculbertson

We took a ride from Bham to Eufaula on a Saturday thru Montgomery. We arrived around 11am and visited a recommended restaurant Barb's Country Kitchen. Wonderful food and hospitality! It sits on the opposing end of Broad Street where the COC and TH reside. The town of Eufaula is full of history. A ride down side roads with all the old houses was a joy! The trail is a short 2.5 miles with great views of Lake Eufaula. The trail is short but a bike ride into and thru the downtown area was the real gem of the trip. There is a house tour in December we will return to experience. We will be back!

April Walk in Eufaula

April, 2013 by shipwreck113

I recently walked a good portion of this trail with my girlfriend. It was my second time visiting the trail and got to explore a bit more this time. It's a great place to see nature and some historic sites. The secondary trails make for great quick little adventures without distracting from the main trek. The views of Lake Eufaula are awesome. It's a great place to visit. It's very relaxing and peaceful. We had a great day.

Scenic and enjoyable

April, 2013 by jgo84

The beginning of the trail has several interesting items to see along it, as well as a couple of side trails, including a small waterfall. There are some beautiful views of the lake before you head into a residential area. The trail ends in a recreation park, with a beach area, fishing, and fantastic lake views, as well as a nice playground. The trail is about three miles, and if you ride completely through the recreation park, probably closer to 4.
I really enjoyed the trail, and hope to ride it again.

Great addition to Eufaula

May, 2012 by llisk123

While visiting Eufaula for a week, my wife and I walked the trail each morning. What a wonderful way to get the day started. We parked downtown across the street from the Chamber of Commerce, which was great, because we could park under a shade tree. The trail has wonderful views of the lake, especially when crossing the old railroad bridge. There are several benches for a rest stop if needed. There is also a picnic area with tables and some other off trail areas to explore.

Nice trail

February, 2011 by drycreekfarmer

I took my 7 year old daughter and had a great afternoon. We started at the chamber of commerce and biked the length of the trail to the recreation complex where there is a large playground. She had fun there for a well over an hour. On the way back we stopped in and checked out a couple of the walking trails which were enjoyable as well. We especially liked the waterfall trail. I could tell I had a pretty good workout because after the riding and hiking I didn't feel guilty for having that large coke float. There are a few hills which require some effort to climb so small kids may have some difficulty but overall it is pretty easy to negotiate. They did a great job laying the trail out and it is very enjoyable to ride. I belive it was about 3.5 to 3.75 miles from start to finish.
