Stones River Greenway

The Board Walk Closed indefinitely

September, 2024 by tncanuck

All of us are wondering why the City is taking so very long to open the Board Walk Section. People are climbing the fence and using it now. I called and Metro said it is unsafe, yet they have abandoned working on it for us all to use. They finished the Clover Bottom area to the TSB, but they are not working at all on the Board Walk. All of us are truly saddened that Metro is just to busy to handle the work over here for us.

Murfreesboro's Stones River Trail

Nice Ride

Construction still in progress so cannot ride complete from one trail head. Overall though was a beautiful, well maintained greenway.

Murfreesboro's Stones River Trail

lovely ride

April, 2024 by lb33558

Rode to the north trailhead and just south to i24 where the trail is now under construction. Nice amount of traffic and we even saw some wild turkeys. Would come again if ever I pass through Murfreesboro again.

Markings for trail not there. We just looped the park. More signs are needed.

Richland Creek Greenway

Bad for inline skating / rollerblading

September, 2023 by vanantwj

This trail is listed as good for in-line skating, but a large section of the trail is very rough / old pavement, and much of the rest of it has long hills and sharp turns.

Upland Trail

One of our favorites!

August, 2023 by nadia9

We love Upland trail for our family. It is a short, easy, and secluded trail. You will see parts of the city you don’t otherwise pay attention to. Eventually this trail will be continued, and will connect to Valleybrook park. I cannot wait for that final phase to be completed! Walking takes about 30-40 minutes, and biking takes about 15.

Murfreesboro's Stones River Trail

Historical ride along the river

July, 2023 by eric420

Fun paved pave along the Stones River thru Civil war battle sites. Ride thru shaded canopies, under bridges over bridges, winding thru field. Deer jumping across the trails. Bunny rabbits hopping around in the fields. Great ride at sunset to dark. Enjoy!

Murfreesboro's Stones River Trail

Great Trail

June, 2023 by caldwellws

Took the opportunity to ride this trail and glad I did. This greenway is wide, shady with lots of nice scenery. I looped it end to end with the connecting trail for a 25 mile ride. It is now on my list of favorites in the Middle Tennessee area.

White House Greenway

Drove from BG, Ky., and it's better bike ride than anything here. Wish it was longer. Gas was at least 20 cents cheaper, so the drive was worthwhile.

Cumberland River Greenway

Trail Needs Some Maintenance

May, 2023 by bcrinehart735

We rode this trail in May 2023. We accessed the northwest end of the trail via Freeland Station Road. It appears that the trail continues past this point but it is not shown on the map. We followed the trail northeast, east and southeast towards downtown Nashville. After a few miles we passed several homeless encampments in the wooded areas. When we reached the downtown area near 2nd St and Cement Plant Road we were met with construction debris. We found no clear description of where we were, where we might go and what we might see. We returned to the trailhead.

Prior to reaching the homeless encampment, the paved trail follows the curve of the river. Wildlife is visible on and along the river.

It would have been great if the trail were marked and we would have been able to ride the trail into the Broadway downtown area, Ryman Auditorium, etc.

one of my favorite trails

This trail is paved and easy to ride. Beautiful trail. I loved every part of it. It connects several parks together. Lots of shady areas and resting places.
